At Icarvs Studio in Marrakech, a custom showcase website costs MAD 2,500–10,000 (about €230–€930), and a site with online booking or ordering costs MAD 8,000–25,000 (about €740–€2,300). Maybe you run a guesthouse in Marrakech and most of your guests come from Europe. Maybe you are opening a restaurant in Guéliz and want a site that works in French and English from day one. Or maybe you are a company abroad that has heard Morocco has strong developers at fair prices, and you want to know what that actually means in numbers.
Either way, the first quotes you collect will probably make no sense next to each other. This guide explains what you are paying for when you commission a site from a web design studio in Marrakech, using our own projects as examples, so you can compare offers on what they include rather than on the total at the bottom.
How much does a website cost in Morocco in 2026?
The short answer is that it depends on what the site has to do. A site that presents your business and gets people to message you on WhatsApp is a different job from one where guests pick a date, choose a treatment and pay.
Here are the main kinds of sites we build, with our price ranges:
| Type of site | Typical client | Price range |
|---|---|---|
| Showcase website | Studio, practice, shop or service business that wants to be found and contacted | MAD 2,500–10,000 (about €230–€930) |
| Booking or ordering website | Spa, hammam, restaurant, riad, beauty salon | MAD 8,000–25,000 (about €740–€2,300) |
| Online store | Brand that sells and ships products | MAD 12,000–40,000 (about €1,100–€3,700) |
| Custom web app | Business that needs an internal tool, a client portal or a dashboard | From MAD 30,000 (about €2,800) |
Those ranges cover most of the projects we see. Where a project lands inside a range comes down to detail: how many pages, how many languages, who writes the copy and supplies the photos, and how tightly the site has to connect to the tools you already use.
Why do quotes for the same website vary so much?
Because two quotes that both say "website" almost never describe the same thing. Three differences explain most of the gap.
A bought template or a site built for you
Many cheap sites start from a theme bought online, with the logo, colours and text swapped in. That can be enough to get started. The trouble comes later: the site looks like thousands of others, it loads slowly because it carries features you never use, and any change outside what the theme allows turns into a fight.
We don't use templates at Icarvs. Every site is designed and then coded for the client's business. It takes more work up front, and it is also what gets you a site that is fast, clean and doesn't look like your competitor's.
What the price includes
A low quote can hide lines that show up later: hosting billed every year, text changes billed by the hour, a second language sold as an extra, SEO "to be discussed". A higher quote may include all of that. Before you compare two numbers, compare two lists: what gets delivered, and what gets billed afterwards.
Who actually does the work
A junior freelancer, a specialist studio and a large agency have very different costs and timelines. What matters to you is who will design and code your site, and whether that person will still answer six months from now when you need a change.
Is it worth hiring a web designer in Morocco if you are based abroad?
We work with many international clients on all kinds of projects, alongside businesses here in Marrakech, so we hear this question a lot. Our honest view: location matters much less than three things you can check before signing.
- Live work you can open. Ask for sites that are online now, not mockups, and open them on your phone.
- Clear communication. You should get answers in a language you are comfortable with, quickly, and in writing. Most of our projects run over WhatsApp and email without ever needing a meeting.
- A modern stack. We build with HTML, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js and Tailwind, deploy on Vercel, and use WordPress when it is the right fit for the client. That is the same toolset studios in Paris or London use.
If those three boxes are ticked, working with a Marrakech studio is no different from working with one down the road, except that we also understand the local market if your customers are here.
What makes a website more expensive?
When we put a quote together, these are the points that weigh the most. Having answers ready before you contact any studio will save you time and make quotes easier to compare.
- Pages and sections. A strong home page plus three or four service pages is a different job from a twenty-page site with a blog.
- Languages. Most of our clients need at least French and English, sometimes Arabic too. Each extra language means a second version of every page, with its own copy and its own SEO.
- Booking, ordering or payments. This is often the biggest line. A form that sends a WhatsApp message costs far less than a system that manages time slots, availability and payments.
- Copy and photos. If you already have good photos and clear text, great. If not, they need to be produced, and that is real work.
- Connections to your tools. A menu that updates from a spreadsheet, a catalogue linked to stock, a calendar sync: each integration takes development and testing time.
- Deadline. Timelines depend on the project, your needs and your launch date. An urgent launch can be planned, but it means reserving time for you.
Advice we give a lot: start with the one feature that brings in money (bookings, orders or enquiries) and make it excellent. Everything else can come later.
What does a website cost after launch?
This is the part people forget, and it causes most of the unpleasant surprises. A website is not a one-off purchase like a shop sign. It has to stay online, fast and up to date.
- Hosting. The server that runs your site. Many providers bill it separately every year. At Icarvs Studio, hosting is included with every website, so there is no second invoice to track.
- Domain name. Your .com renews every year. Make sure it is registered in your name, not the agency's.
- Changes. Updating a price, adding a service, changing opening hours: ask up front how small requests are handled and billed.
- SEO. A well-built site starts with good foundations. Climbing on Google and Google Maps then takes steady work. We assess how much work your site needs first, then run it as a monthly plan covering local SEO, technical SEO, content and visibility in AI search. Monthly SEO costs MAD 1,500–5,000 (about €140–€460) a month.
A real example: the Le Bain Blanc booking site
Le Bain Blanc is a hammam and spa in Marrakech. The brief had two parts: make people want to come before they arrive, and let them book without three rounds of messages asking about availability.

We built a booking and marketing site that stages the space and the treatments as a story. A project like this sits in the "booking website" row of the table above, because the booking flow takes more work than a contact form.
For a hospitality or food business, also look at Frümee, a bilingual site for an ice cream café in Guéliz with an order builder that sends straight to WhatsApp. All our other projects are on our selected work page.
Cheap website or custom website: how do you avoid paying twice?
A pattern we see often: a business picks the cheapest offer, the site goes live, it brings in nothing, and two years later the whole thing has to be rebuilt. The cheap site ended up costing two sites.
Before you sign with anyone, ask these questions. The answers will tell you a lot.
- Is the site built from scratch or from a bought theme?
- Is hosting included, and for how long?
- Will the domain be registered in my name?
- How many languages are included in the price?
- How are changes handled after launch, and what do they cost?
- Will the site be fast on a phone with an average connection?
- Can you show me three live sites you built?
The last question is the most useful one. Open those sites on your phone, check how fast they load, and if you can, ask one of the clients how the project went.
How we work at Icarvs Studio
We have more than 40 client websites live and over six years of web development behind us. We start by understanding what the site needs to bring in for you, design it in Figma, then code it with fast, modern tools. No templates, hosting included, and if you want to grow on Google afterwards, we assess the work and run it month by month.
A simple showcase site can be up in about a week.
How do you get an accurate quote?
The fastest way is to message us on WhatsApp with these five things. With them, we can give you a realistic range without a pointless meeting:
- What your business does and where your customers are.
- What the site needs to do: present, take bookings, take orders or sell.
- Which languages you need.
- What you already have: logo, photos, copy, an old site.
- Your launch date, if you have one.
You can also read our page on custom web design to see what is included in every project.
